Transform your pup in just two weeks with our immersive Board & Train program for all breeds, where dogs master on- and off-leash obedience in a real-home environment.
Kodiak K9’s Board & Train program gives your dog more than obedience—it gives them a lifestyle reset.
Instead of being confined to a kennel, your dog lives inside a real home with professional trainers, receiving round-the-clock structure, care, and guidance. Over two weeks, most dogs make remarkable progress, mastering on- and off-leash obedience while building confidence in everyday situations. For dogs who need extra time or reinforcement, an optional third week ensures training sticks long-term.
Our immersive, in-home approach means learning happens naturally, in real time, and in a family environment where affection and comfort are part of the process. The result? A well-trained, happy dog whose new skills carry over seamlessly into daily life.

Every pup has a unique personality, which is why we don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to training. Our programs are tailored to your dog’s individuality and designed around the specific goals you want to achieve.

During the training period, your dog stays in the trainer’s home, learning real-world manners in a warm family environment with plenty of affection and couch naps. Training takes place not only at the trainer’s house and yard but also in nearby public spaces such as parks, stores, and ballparks.

At the end of the training program, the trainer reviews what the dog has learned with the owner and how to apply it to daily routines, ensuring a smooth transition back home for the dog and their family.
From puppies to seniors, small to large, we work with dogs of all breeds and personalities.
Enjoy a seamless drop-off—your trainer reviews progress and next steps right at home.
Enjoy peace of mind with daily photos and progress reports straight from your trainer.
We offer two Board & Train programs designed to help your dog develop solid obedience, better behavior, and real-world confidence.
We’ll help you choose the right one. Custom training options are also available.

Our board & train program is an immersive dog training experience in which your dog lives with one of our professional trainers for a set period, typically 2 to 3 weeks. Instead of attending occasional training sessions, your dog receives structured guidance and reinforcement throughout the day. Because dogs live in our trainers’ homes, they can practice obedience, calm behavior, and household manners in a real-life environment rather than just during short training sessions.
Most dogs complete our board & train program in about two weeks, which provides enough time to build a strong foundation of obedience and good behavior. Some dogs may benefit from a three-week program depending on their temperament, training goals, or behavioral challenges. During this time, your dog receives daily structure, consistent training, and real-world exposure that helps create reliable results.
Dogs in our board & train program typically learn core obedience commands such as sit, down, stay, heel, place, and recall. Training also focuses on everyday manners, such as walking calmly on a leash, greeting people politely, and remaining relaxed in the home.
At Kodiak K9, we also work on reliable off-leash manners so your dog can listen and respond even in the face of real-world distractions. Throughout the program, dogs practice their training in everyday situations such as walks, public environments, and normal household routines. The goal is not just teaching commands, but helping your dog develop reliable behavior you can trust both on and off leash.
Traditional dog training classes usually take place once a week for about an hour, which means most of the training responsibility falls on the owner between sessions. With our board & train program, your dog receives consistent daily training from a professional trainer in a structured environment. Because dogs live in our trainers’ homes and practice behaviors throughout the day, progress typically happens faster and more reliably than with occasional training sessions.
No. One key difference with Kodiak K9 is that dogs live in our trainers’ homes and become part of a real household. While crates may be used appropriately for rest or safety, dogs are not simply left in a kennel for most of the day. They spend time training, relaxing at home, going for walks, and practicing good behavior in everyday situations.
Yes. At the end of the program, we provide a detailed lesson that walks you through everything your dog has learned and shows you exactly how to maintain the training at home. This ensures you understand the commands, expectations, and structure needed to keep your dog successful long after the program is finished.
The cost of our board & train program depends on the length of training and your dog’s specific needs. At Kodiak K9, we currently offer two programs:
Two-week board and train program – $2,450.00
Three-week board and train program – $2,950.00
During the program, your dog lives with one of our trainers and receives daily structured training, real-world exposure, and consistent reinforcement throughout the day. Because dogs live in our trainers’ homes and practice their training in everyday situations, many owners see faster, more reliable results than in traditional weekly dog training classes. At the end of the program, we also provide a hands-on lesson so you know exactly how to maintain your dog’s training at home.
